What You Need To Know Before You Start Programming

This might sound odd because,you would probably be wondering how we use writing to create the designs,and even some objects in a site,but the whole truth is that everything you see was created by writing. But it is not the regular pen and paper writing but a special type of writing known as coding or programming. What is Programming? Programming is simply the ability to understand and execute a given task on a computer through the use of the language of the computer. Language of the computer? That sounds insane right? But yes just as we humans have languages such as English,Igbo,Yoruba,Hausa and so on, so too the computer has its own languages. So what is or are these languages of the computer? In the human race there are millions of languages spoken world wide,this is also likened to the language of the computer, there are various languages such as Python, java,HTML,hack,CSS,c,c++,php and so many more,but the universal language which can be understood by all computers is known as the mother language of the computer. This is also likened to English language and French. So these various languages serve different purposes. An example is HTML which is used for the creation of websites and webpages, JavaScript is used for apps and games and so on and so forth.

But for the case study we shall be looking at HTML because it is in line with your dream career.

HTML

HTML is an abbreviation for 'HyperText Markup Language' it is a programming language used for the creation of web pages. And just as we have earlier discussed, a website is a combination of web pages,so in order to build a website you have to start by building or creating each individual page. You cannot just manufacture a book without starting with single pages. Many people do not actually consider HTML to be a programming language because it is actually the easiest of all. This means that of all the programming languages there is,HTML is the simplest and easiest to learn. To be able to build your website you need to learn this language,as I have earlier said it doesn't really mean you would start. Speaking weird or saying some strange diabolic words, all you need to do is to write. On average it shouldn't take you more than two months to completely master learning this language.

But you do not solely need HTML to build a working and attractive website,HTML only builds the website but to design and add other colourful and attractive features you need another newly formed language known as CSS.

CSS

CSS is also an abbreviation which signifies or stands for 'Cascaded Style Sheet'. It deals mainly on designs,fonts,tone,intensity and other amazing features which makes websites look wonderful and eye catching. But does this mean you would also have to learn this language? Yes of course, but the advantage is that there are a lot of similarities between CSS and HTML being that they both work hand in hand. Provided you have fully learnt HTML,CSS shouldn't take you more than a week of consistency to learn. With these two languages as a programmer,you can build any type of website you need. One of the best places to learn these languages is at 'w3schools',this is an online website that was designed to teach people all they need to know about all the computer languages and you get to write down some codes yourself.

As an upcoming programmer,I would advise you to first start with these two languages before you can progress to the more difficult ones like JavaScript, c++ and the rest. Also web building is also a sure way of getting money because there are many people all over the  world who are willing to pay to have someone build them a site.
