2 Politicians Dump APC To Join PDP In Delta State
Two APC members from Delta state,Burutu constituency has surrendered their broom (symbol of the All Progressive Party) to become members of the rival opposing political party,the Peoples Democratic Party,PDP. Chief Peres Oloye and Mr Agodi Agbor decided to change tides today alongside the support of thousands of people who cheered and participated in the transition themselves.
They both gave reasons concerning their sudden change of ship sails,chief Oloye who was once a member of the Peoples Democratic party said;
"I left for the APC in the interest of the Ijaw nation and in search of greener pastures and adventure, but I found out that the APC in Delta state is grossly anti Ijaw. No delta Ijaw is considered good for any appointment. All appointments made were given to other tribes and it seems there is no future for us who are Ijaw people in the party in addition to the endless in fighting and intractable internal disunity in the state chapter of the party. So I have decided to return to my original home the Peoples Democratic party".
Mr Agodi Otutu also made a speech concerning his transition, he said;
" The Peoples Democratic Party is my original party were I was their public announcer of ceremony since its inception in 1998 till I left in 2018 to APC for personal reasons.
This return though a very difficult decision for me,is a home coming for me. The APC's inability to provide the platform for inclusive participation for all on Delta state,especially needless fractions and lack of vision to provide democratic dividends at all levels for the betterment of Nigerians etc,are reasons for my decision to realign with PDP once again".
They were warmly welcomed by the chairman of the Peoples Democratic party in Burutu constituency Mr Ebike Oromoni who received the duo with glad hearts,he also sited to the fact that the duo had given the Peoples Democratic party in that area countless numbers of sleepless nights in the past while they were at the opposing party.
